Vastra: An exhibition on traditional Bengal textiles from the 17th century to contemporary times from several private collections in India at Kolkata.
Our role
As with Vriksha, we selected and identified the relevant albums from the Botanical Survey collection, and identified images to be reproduced for the exhibition. Eka was also responsible for concepts, curation, exhibition design and display, relevant research, and textual references. The exhibition was a part of the ‘Raksha’ conference organised by SUTRA, a Kolkata-based NGO focussing on Indian textiles.
