Mantles of Myth: The Narrative in Indian Textiles, Jaipur

Client: Siyahi

13th – 15th December, 2008, at the Diggi Palace Hotel, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Mantles of Myth provided a unique forum for writers, story-tellers, art & textile historians, scholars, curators and designers to revisit the many myths of creation depicted as narratives in Indian textiles. It was the first international conference ever held on a highly specialized and localized textile tradition of India.

Our role

We were responsible for conceiving and curating the seminar in collaboration with Siyahi. This included liaising with and bringing together some of the finest textile scholars from around India and the world, as well as artists and other practitioners.
