The Art of Heritage group (AHG) previously The Heritage Center (a division of Al Nahda Charity) holds a vast collection of traditional textiles, carpets, jewelry, artifacts, doors and other material objects important to the culture, tradition, heritage and history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The AHG aims to preserve and protect Saudi heritage, and disseminate information on its rich and diverse culture and traditions, both within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to the outside world.
We have been asked to initially survey and the document a selection of the group’s textile collections to be compiled into a book on the textile holdings of the AHG group, with an exhibition of these textiles to coincide with the launch of the book.
