The Kalakshetra Foundation was set up by Dr. Rukmini Devi Arundale in 1936. The foundation is dedicated towards the revival, preservation and promotion of the arts in India. It is deemed as an institute of national importance by the Government of India and the college runs with aid from the same.
Our role
Eka was first called in to create a planning document for a resource centre and museum based on the personal collections and memorabilia of the late Rukmini Devi Arundale, noted dancer, Theosophist, educationist and founder of Kalakshetra. This was followed by supervising the digitised documentation of the Rukmini Devi Collection.
