A collaborative project with Udaipur-based American artist Waswo X.Waswo and his associate Rajesh Soni, ‘Tinted by Tradition’ explores the layered relationship between painting and photography, especially as practiced at Udaipur. It juxtaposes painted photographs from thePictorial Archives of the Maharanas of Mewar against Waswo’s modern digital prints, hand coloured by Rajesh Soni.
