The original screenplay and story-boards of Satyajit Ray’s iconic debut film Pather Panchali have gone “missing” from Cinémathèque Française, the Paris institute that holds one of the world’s largest archives of films and movie-related objects. The institute has communicated to the Kolkata-based ‘Society For The Preservation Of Satyajit Ray Archives’ that all the original Pather Panchali documents are untraceable, the society’s chief executive Arup K De told Mirror on Wednesday.
