The Preview of the Nemai Ghosh Archives was held at the Delhi Art Gallery Pavilion at the 2nd India Arts Summit, 2009. The India Art Summit is an effort to serve growing art market demand for an inclusive, international platform for Indian art. The event is a major exposition of
international art in India, besides being the single largest showcase of Indian art. The 2009 edition attracted over 40,000 visitors and with over 50% of artworks sold was one of the most successful second editions of an art fair in the world.
Our role
We selected and identified images from over 90,000 options, and was also responsible for concepts, curation, exhibition design and display, relevant research, and textual references. The preview was a curtain-raiser for the Nemai Ghosh Archive held at Delhi Art Gallery and was the first official showing from the collection.
