The Department of Culture is a central agency under the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs, Bhutan, with the mandate to preserve and promote the rich cultural and traditional heritage of the nation. The Department aims at conservation, protection, development and promotion of all tangible and intangible cultural heritage and the integration of cultural heritage into all areas of national development. Eka is working closely with the Department of Culture, Bhutan & The Bhutan Foundation (the funding agency) in planning the adaptive reuse of the historic Wangduechhoeling Palace in Bumthang, Bhutan. Eka is involved in the museum planning, exhibition design and creating the contextual narratives for the museum’s galleries.
