Eka’s founder-director, Pramod Kumar KG, was one of the curators for the Serendipity Arts Festival, an annual multi-platform festival held in Panjim, Goa from December 15th – 23rd 2022. Pramod curated 2 shows for the festival!
One of the shows was ‘India by book in the 21st Century’, which was a curated selection of the best books published on India across the arts from the year 2000 onwards. The exhibition took an informed look at the world of specialist books on India, her arts, and history and included publications on cinema, photography, painting, design, textiles, architecture, ecology, the natural world, history, and related genres.
‘Forgotten Carpets of the Jaipur Court’ was another exciting show that looked at how our craft practices are documented by showcasing 161 surviving photographs that illuminated the poignant state of craft archives within India. The exhibition detailed the fascinating story of documenting the Jaipur court’s carpets and the fact that most of these reports from nearly a century ago continued to remain out of the public domain.
