The preview was held at the Delhi Art Gallery Pavilion at the 2nd India Arts Summit, 2009. Eka selected the images for display and was also responsible for concepts, curation, exhibition design and display, relevant research, and textual references.
Eka assessed the materials of this extensive archive which comprises of glass plates negatives, original studio registers from Bombay and Hyderabad, etc. This has culminated with an exhibition at the IGNCA on Raja Deen Dayal and his Studio archive.
The Nemai Ghosh Archive contains the photographer Nemai Ghosh’s life work in about 90,000 photographic negatives. Eka has just finished cataloguing the entire archive!
Eka conceptualised, designed and implemented the first photographic exhibition mounted at the City Palace Museum, Udaipur, titled ‘Long Exposure: The Camera at Udaipur, 1857 – 1957’. It traces the evolution of Udaipur’s photographic heritage over its most significant 100 year period
