
Eka Resources presents its latest Exhibition. Samvega – Aesthetic Shock by Lesleigh Goldberg at the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The show has been curated by Dr. Alka Pande and Pramod Kumar KG.
Kanota Garh,a castle built in 1872 and the seat of the Thakurs of Kanota, is situated roughly 30 minutes from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. The castle is noted for its most famous resident, Thakur Amar Singh (b. 1878, r. 1924-1942) and his detailed hand-written diaries that run into several large volumes and give us privileged glimpses into courtly life in Rajasthan at the turn of the century.
Weavers Studio has a design repertoire of more than 20,000 wooden blocks, 1000 textile reference books, 500 old and rare textiles from India and abroad as well as contemporary world textiles from Japan, Africa and Indonesia.
We have been asked to lend our cataloguing expertise to organise the textile collections, and further develop it into a truly representative sample of the textile arts of the subcontinent.

The mid-19th century Udai Bilas Palace houses a diverse collection of textiles, photographs, photographic and film equipment, and other assorted smaller items. Eka is the sole museum consultant to the palace and is also responsible for cataloguing the materials, curating and executing an eventual museum space.

Curated by Eka ‘Vriksha’ was an exhibition of botanical drawings from the collection of Botanical Survey of India, Kolkata. Eka was also responsible for the concepts, exhibition design and display, relevant research and textual references.
‘Vastra’ was an exhibition on traditional Bengal textiles from the 17th century to contemporary times. Eka was responsible for selection of works, concepts, curation, exhibition design and display, relevant research, and textual references.
An exhibition of photographs which trace the history of Bhutan’s earliest encounter with photography to the contemporary photographs taken by His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan. Eka was contracted to curate and collate materials for the exhibition, as well as create an accompanying catalogue.
Eka is assigned to coordinate, curate and implement this forthcoming exhibition of the most spectacular pichwais from around the world by the Prakriti Foundation .
The preview was held at the Delhi Art Gallery Pavilion at the 2nd India Arts Summit, 2009. Eka selected the images for display and was also responsible for concepts, curation, exhibition design and display, relevant research, and textual references.
Eka assessed the materials of this extensive archive which comprises of glass plates negatives, original studio registers from Bombay and Hyderabad, etc. This has culminated with an exhibition at the IGNCA on Raja Deen Dayal and his Studio archive.
Eka conceptualised, designed and implemented the first photographic exhibition mounted at the City Palace Museum, Udaipur, titled ‘Long Exposure: The Camera at Udaipur, 1857 – 1957′. It traces the evolution of Udaipur’s photographic heritage over its most significant 100 year period
Eka is the Museum Consultant to,The City Palace Complex Udaipur, the oldest and most prestigious Rajput palace complex in India. We are advising on every aspect of its re-presentation – i.e. display, archiving, storage, planning, publication, outreach, gallery improvements and recruitment.
